hate automatic horizontal rules in ms word?
me too! Thanks to this forum, my word document and sanity have just been saved, and I wanted to pass along the tip. These horizontal rules that are auto created when you make a bunch of dashes and hit enter, are actually BORDER LINES.
The way for a border line to be removed is to select the line just above it (it could be an empty line or have text) and then go to the Format menu > Borders...

Diva Cups and TSS
Since I’ve made it my mission to spread the gospel of Diva cup, I’ve been having a lot of conversations about them lately. One friend’s OBGYN, when recently asked about Diva cup safety, told her that he had only been asked about it by a patient once before and didn’t know much about it, but assumed that it might pose greater risk for toxic shock syndrome. I think it’s...

How many gears does it have?
– My boss, asking excitedly about my bike.
I remember thinking my neighbor during elementary school had the best bike because it was a 10 speed! Now, the fewer gears you have, the cooler you are (according to my brother, at least).

students and credit cards
Students graduate with an average of $4,100 in credit card debt with almost 20% having more than $7,000 owed on credit cards.
60% were surprised how high their balances were, and 40% charged items knowing that they couldn’t pay for them. (Consumerist, via SallieMae)
At first glance, I assumed that these numbers were entirely the result of students being reckless with their money and...

i want to ride it where i like
PC: do you listen to "bicycle" on repeat everytime you ride your bike?
PC: never mind, don't answer that.
PC: i know you do.
PC: and if you say you don't, i'll assume you're lying.
Just go about your business, enjoy the good weather.

Dear eBay,
Though we’ve been together for nearly 10 years, I don’t feel that I can trust you like I used to. What happened to your old friends who sent kind e-mails and were true to their word? Your new crowd is a mean bunch of liars and cheats, and I just don’t like them.
Shape up or ship out, Adrienne

Eating for $1 a day?
I’ve never been one to budget, as I just try to spend sensibly all the time, but this article has really made me think today. It mentions a woman who ate for an entire month for $1/day, a Brooklyn couple who set their food budget at $30/week, and the author and her wife who each set their budget at $5/day, or $75/week.
It struck me that while $5/day seems like an impossible budget, $75/week...
