Saturday afternoon with Steve Reich
Yes, I’m working on a Saturday, and yes, I lost my phone on my way, but it’s hard to complain when the work is photographing the dress rehearsal for Steve Reich’s sold-out birthday concert tonight at Carnegie Hall (especially when Mr. Reich himself is listening, too, just a few seats away!).

I just lost my phone
and I’m not happy about it. If you see it, let me know!
It was last seen in my pocket at the Clinton-Washington stop before I ran as fast as I could to board the uptown C train.

Are Maiden Names Really Worth $500,000? (WSJ) →
“Women who kept their maiden names were judged to be more professional than married-name doppelgangers and proved more likely to win a job, according to the research. They also attracted higher pay.”
I think I’ve seen and written about this study before, but despite its flaws, it’s interesting.
When I saw this headline in an e-mail from CR, my brain concluded that it...
