According to the Daily Mail, a study by Engage Mutual found that 60% of respondents consulted the Internet rather than a doctor when they felt sick. And for many of them, that turned out to be a really bad idea — nearly half ended up thinking they were deathly ill. One in five became convinced they were having a heart attack, while 28% of those with abdominal pain thought they had appendicitis.
