Credit Card Industry Aims to Profit From Sterling Payers (NYT)

“That’s what you get for being all conscientious.” -PC, and probably AMEX

If they are going to get evil about it, I’ll just have to stop using credit cards. Those of us who have been playing them for free rewards don’t really need them when push comes to shove, since we are spending with money we actually have in the first place. If those who pay in full each month make 1/3 of their customers, what will the card companies do if the conscientious all quit?

I’m looking forward to reading the growing discussion of this here when I have a free moment, to see some different perspectives.
