Take a look at the profile of you that Google has created to determine which kinds of ads will be relevant to you. This is based on your browser, and you can make updates to it to make it more accurate.

I checked mine on my work computer, home computer, and iPad, and it was interesting to see the differences between devices based on how I browse in different settings. My computers think I’m male, and my iPad knows I’m female, for example, but they all knew I was 25-34.
