The Sound of Music will be performed at Carnegie Hall tonight, and we just posted a few dress rehearsal photos to CH’s Facebook page. I love when the hall is transformed with beautiful projections on the back wall.
Last night we had he pleasure of attending jazz sax player Rudresh Mahanthappa’s performance at Carnegie Hall. Erin’s purses are all packed in anticipation of their move, so she impressively improvised (pun intended) one out of a scarf. I later received word that she transformed the scarf purse into a rain cover.
This is the same woman who has also created a purse out of a chemical glove in a pinch. I’m very proud to have her as a friend.
LOVE this infographic we posted at work this morning: From Reich to Radiohead.
It’s the first in a series of several during American Mavericks this month.
It’s fun to have a photo permit in this place.
My panoramas are always flawed, but I love them.
The second half, full of Chopin, is starting to stream now.

Join me here to stream tonight’s Leif Ove Andsnes piano recital starting at 8pm.
Onstage, Carter talked about tearing down the walls that divide different kinds of music, but no such thing took place, and I doubt anyone in the audience would have wanted it to. People wanted to hear Jay-Z play the same kind of music he always does, only in a fancier room.
I’m very excited for this tonight!
VERY excited for this show tonight.
I love this ad campaign we’ve been working on at Carnegie Hall.
It’s nice to see some positive feedback about it on Flickr this week!
