I’m a big wimp, but am sometimes willing to suffer for the sake of art (case in point).
For this year’s holiday card, I ignored with my crippling bird phobia and allowed a chicken to be placed on my arm for a couple of minutes. It was only possible because I didn’t look at the chicken on my arm even once, and just avoided facing it at all.
