2) RIP New Pizza Town
3) Fairway is not as dreamy as I once thought. I’m actually glad that our Brooklyn neighborhood grocery shopping doesn’t result in such angry mob rage.

Give me a break. I’m extremely sad to see it go, but the owner owes nearly $350,000 in back rent and sounds pretty shady. Sorry, guy.
In recent days, I’d noticed the sign at H&H Bagels was down, but I’d figured they were waiting for a new one. Nope. The iconic shop, whose aroma made walking by 80th and Broadway a pleasure, is shutting down Wednesday.
Looks like we moved out of the Upper West Side just in time.
R.I.P. H&H and New Pizza Town. What’s next, Zabar’s?! George Keeley’s?!!

I got it in an e-mail from councilwoman Gail Brewer, and don’t see any further information about it on the DOT website.
The e-mail said “free while supplies last” and:
- Helmets are available for all ages
- You must be present to get a helmet
- You must learn how to properly fit and wear a helmet before you receive it
- A parent or legal guardian must be present to sign a waiver for children under age 18
- Adults over age 18 receiving a helmet must sign a waiver

The broker just stopped by to take photos of our current apartment, so they can start showing it to potential renters this week.
He said he’d list it at $2,300–$2,400/month. We’ve been paying $1,800 for the past two years, and just decided to move when it bumped up to $2,000. I feel like I’m passing up a bargain somehow, but it’s just not where we want to live anymore.
Time to get over being sentimental and pack up!
